4-methylmorpholine 4-oxide - Uses and synthesis methods
use
1. Oxide-4-methylmorpholine monohydrate is a heterocyclic tertiary amine oxide, which is widely used in pesticides, herbicides, metal rust inhibitors, fiber treatments and solvents. Especially in the solvent spinning of man-made fibers, the advantage is greatest. In industry, man-made fibers can be produced by copper ammonium method and viscose method, with viscose method being the most common. The viscose technology is mature, but it has the disadvantages of long process, high energy consumption, poor fiber quality and serious pollution of three wastes. The process of producing man-made fibers with oxy-4-methylmorpholine monohydrate as a solvent is non-toxic, non-polluting, and the product quality is high, especially the wet properties and strength are better than ordinary viscose fibers, and the temperature performance exceeds that of nylon. The performance index is similar to cotton fiber and is called "green man-made fiber"; and the 16 processes of the original process can be reduced to 9 processes.
2. It is used as a high-performance solvent for plant cellulose, widely used as a solvent in the organic synthesis process, and used as a foaming catalyst for polyester plastics. It has particularly excellent performance.
3. Reagents used to improve the catalytic OsO4 oxidation reaction of olefins, which produces cis-1, 2-diols; used in the ruthenium catalytic oxidation reaction of alcohols to produce aldehydes and ketones
